Dear CCIM Members,

It is with great sadness that CCIM Institute shares the news of past CCIM Institute President Wayne D’Amico, CCIM, passing away on November 4. The Board of Directors was fortunate to share with him a book of handwritten thoughts immediately following the Institute’s annual meetings in Toronto last month.

Wayne began his career as a commercial broker in 1989 and continuously honed his skills and education until becoming designated CCIM #6198 in June 1996. In 2002, he was elected to the CCIM Board of Directors. In 2011, he became CCIM Institute First Vice President, and subsequently became 2013 CCIM Institute President. As president, Wayne was an integral part of the negotiations to partner with Xceligent and ESRI. He later joined Xceligent in May 2016 as executive vice president of corporate development and strategic relations. Wayne’s contributions and presence will live on at the Institute many years beyond his passing.

The CCIM Foundation, the charitable arm of CCIM Institute, has created the Wayne D'Amico Memorial Fund. CCIM Institute and the Foundation have contributed the initial $10,000 to start the fund which will be used to provide financial assistance to his two sons for their college education. Donations made to this fund are tax deductible.

Please make online donations here. Checks can be addressed to: The CCIM Foundation, 430 N. Michigan Ave., Ste. 700, Chicago, IL 60611, and note the Wayne D'Amico Fund.

Wayne was a great friend, an industry icon, as well as a great husband and father. He will be greatly missed by us all!

Sincerely,
Robin L. Webb, CCIM
2017 CCIM President
