Dear New York Metro Chapter Members and Friends –
With much sadness, I report the passing of our good friend and trusted colleague, Wayne D’Amico, last Friday, after a brief illness. Wayne’s contributions to the CCIM Institute, on both the national and local levels, are unparalleled in our Organization’s 50-year history.
Wayne began his career as a commercial broker in 1989 and continuously honed his skills and education until becoming a member of the CCIM Institute in 1996. Since joining the CCIM Board of Directors in 2002, he provided significant contributions in national leadership positions, first serving as 1st Vice President in 2011, and later as the 2013 CCIM President and Chairman. Wayne was an inspiration and driving force behind the development and maturation of both the New York Metro and Connecticut CCIM Chapters.
His smile, enthusiasm and invaluable counsel will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Neil Firtle, CCIM
2017 New York Metro Chapter President
The CCIM Foundation, the charitable arm of CCIM Institute, has created the Wayne D'Amico Memorial Fund. CCIM Institute and the Foundation have contributed the initial $10,000 to start the fund which will be used to provide financial assistance to his two sons for their college education. Donations made to this fund are tax deductible.
The family will have a small private service. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family asks that memories be shared on his CCIM Memorial page. These memories will be printed and provided to the family. (Link here)
