Instructor

Michael J. Sikora III (“Mike”) is the Managing Partner of Sikora Law LLC, a law firm that handles matters for real estate companies throughout Ohio.  Sikora Law's clients include many of the most active commercial brokerages through Ohio and many best-in-class developers based in Northeast Ohio and Central Ohio.

Throughout his career, Mike has handled numerous cases before state courts and federal courts throughout the State of Ohio, Ohio courts of appeals, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and The Supreme Court of Ohio.

Mike was named an Ohio Super Lawyer or Super Lawyer Rising Star eight times.  The Ohio State Bar Association Real Property Section named Mike a member of its Section Council in 2010, and he currently serves on the Executive Committee and as Vice Chair of that Section Council.  He will chair the OSBA Real Property Section Council from 2021-2023.  In his capacity as member of the Ohio State Bar Association Real Property Section Council, Mike has led and is leading several major legislative initiatives, to improve Ohio real property law.  Mike has testified as an expert for the Ohio State Bar Association before the Ohio General Assembly (Ohio House and Ohio Senate) on multiple matters involving Ohio real estate law.

Mike served as President of the Northern Ohio Chapter of NAIOP during 2016, and he has been on the Board of Trustees of that Association since 2008.  Mike serves on the Executive Committee and is President Elect of NAIOP Ohio. Mike is invited to participate in Annual Brokerage Counsel Roundtables hosted by Ohio Realtors.  Mike was President of the Ohio Land Title Association from 2010-2011 and served on the Ohio Land Title Association Board of Trustees for six years. Mike sits on the Title Counsel of the American Land Title Association. 

Mike attended The Ohio State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance.  While at Ohio State, he worked for Buckeye Real Estate and later for Pizzuti Realty.  Mike then attended law school at Capital University Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude.  While at Capital, he was recognized with numerous honors, including Outstanding Oral Advocate, Moot Court Champion, Order of the Curia, and served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board.  He was also a member of Capital’s National Moot Court Team, and was published in the Law Review.

He has spoken before numerous associations, such as NAIOP, Ohio Land Title Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, Columbus Board of Realtors, Akron Cleveland Area Board of Realtors, Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, Columbus Apartment Association, Akron Bar Association, Commercial Real Estate Women, the Central Ohio Land Title Association.  Mike is also the Editor of Ohio Real Property Law and Practice that is published by LexisNexis.

Mike has also been a licensed title insurance agent since 2004.  His title agency, Omni Title LLC, handles primarily commercial real estate transactions throughout Ohio.
