  Ohio CCIM Chapter Membership Drive

Remember that just because you paid your CCIM Institute dues does not automatically make you a member of the Ohio CCIM Chapter.

If you have already paid your Ohio CCIM Chapter membership dues, thank you! But if you haven't, please consider doing so. Chapter membership provides access to guidance, technology and trusted resources through a forum of like-minded professionals that are also willing to help you grow your business.

Last year, we hosted 19 events for our membership, ranging from small training classes to educational events to large industry gatherings. Joining is easy, just fill out an application

RECENT EVENTS

Students in the May CI101 class along with several Toledo-area CCIM designees and candidates enjoyed the traditional 'happy hour' one evening after class.  Special thanks to the Ohio CCIM chapter for sponsoring this event.

In May, chapter members and guests were treated to an insightful and lively discussion directed by Trevor Cooke of Loth, Inc. entitled 'The Power of Place'.  Afterwards, everyone enjoyed some networking at the social hour.  Special thanks to chapter sponsor Loth for hosting and leading the session.

In June, Mike Sikora of Omni Title and Sikora Law led a session titled 'Maximizing Real Estate Commissions'.  Chapter members and guest learned about tools and techniques to minimize issues with collecting fees, including referral fees and out of state brokerage as well as the commercial real estate brokerage lien law.  Special thanks to Cooperative Business Services for hosting this event!
TECH CORNER

The Site-To-Do-Business is one of the most powerful tools in your CCIM toolkit.  It is also the most under-utilized by the membership.  STDB contains a variety of software packages, including:

ESRI BAO - mapping and demographic package
ArcGIS - powerful geographic information system
Database USA - prospecting tool to generate business lists
Pictometry - high resolution oblique aerial photography
REI Wise - discount cash flow modeling and valuation software
RiskMeter Online - digital representation of REMA flood maps

The question most often asked is 'where do I start'?  Although these tools are located on a different website (STDB.com versus CCIM.com), your login name and password are the same for both sites and there is a link to the STDB site on the front page of CCIM.com.  The second most-asked question - 'is there training available'?  A tremendous variety of training options can be found at the STBD Learning Center.

In addition to the schedule of upcoming online webinars, the Learning Center contains archived webinars, video tutorials, video training classes and written sample case studies..  Simply go to www.stdblearningcenter.com.  Still have questions?  You can email '[email protected]' or call 469-232-2615.  And remember that all of these tools and services are included as part of your annual membership dues.
