President's Message
It is during times like these that reflection is so important. It is very easy to feel disconnected in our current environment and we can all admit to feeling challenged over the past few months. With this also comes opportunity. What a wonderful time to think back on how we all can do better in aspects of our careers and life and come out stronger.
CCIM is here for you. It is important to remember that you can access the global CCIM platform online at anytime from your own home. Whether that is to access our many great tools and resources on the Site to do Business page or taking an online refresher course – we are here for you.
I want to make special mention to all 2020 sponsors as they give us the ability to bring all of our members great events, classes, and other resources – even in these uncertain times. Please take note of all sponsors listed in this newsletter as they are a very reputable group with a lot of value to offer!
Though we have yet to hold any in-person courses recently, nor do we have any scheduled in the near future, we are offering many opportunities to stay engaged with CCIM online! A couple important dates to note: on June 16 at 11 AM our very own K.C. Conway, CCIM Chief Economist, will provide an economic update. You can sign up this event through the
CCIM website. Also, commencing on June 11
th and running into July, the Ohio CCIM Chapter is sponsoring a STDB Training webinar series. This 4-part series is free to all members and their assistants. You can sign up for this exciting event from the
Ohio CCIM website.
As always, I would like to extend a personal invitation if you are interested in getting more involved. Call me anytime at 419-345-4460 or email me at
paul@kwapichrealestate.com.
Sincerely,
Paul Kwapich, CCIM

A few updates regarding live classes and the comprehensive exam. The Ohio CCIM Chapter cancelled all live courses that had been scheduled for March, April and May. However, we intend to hold the classes currently scheduled for the second half of the year. This includes Foundations for Success (September in Cleveland), Negotiations (October in Columbus) and CI101 (December in Columbus). We also hope to reschedule the CI103 that was cancelled this past May and are looking specifically at a week in early November. Switching to the comprehensive exam, there should be an announcement within the next 2 weeks for those that had been scheduled to take this exam this past April in Charlotte. For those planning to take the comp exam in October in Chicago, don’t book those plane tickets just yet. Although there will be an exam event this Fall, the timing, format and location is being discussed. There should be a final plan for this within the next month. Like seemingly everything else, things are changing day by day but we will certainly let all of our members know the latest developments.

The Institute recently developed several online refresher courses. These are a great way to get the latest and greatest concepts and applications taught in the core classes, from the comfort of your office or home. Get continuing education credit and brush up on your skills with any of the four designee-only refresher courses that cover the core and CCR curriculums. These condensed versions of the designation courses only take four to six hours to complete:
