Silva Brand, a leading branding agency focused on the commercial real estate industry, will be available to all chapters on a weekly basis. Beginning Wednesday, February 6, Silva Brand will be holding office hours every week for one hour. During this hour, chapters will have the chance to video conference or call in to get any chapter marketing advice. If you are planning on attending and have materials you would like Silva Brand to look over prior to office hours, please submit materials here. Office hours will occur every Wednesday at 3 PM Central (1 PM Pacific, 2 PM Mountain, 4 PM Eastern) and can be accessed through the following:

Chapter Marketing Support Program - Custom Branding
Over the next two years, Silva Brand will be assisting each chapter with custom branding and strategic planning. They’ll analyze your chapter’s messaging and the local competition to help you build a consistent, targeted marketing plan for each of your key audiences and further establish your chapter’s brand identity. The work will impact more than marketing. This service includes virtual meetings, along with a larger meeting that may be held in person with chapter stakeholders. We’ll notify you when this service is available in your region to begin the scheduling process.

2019 Designation Promotion Grant Program
The Designation Promotion Grant Program will be available again this year, but CCIM Institute will not begin accepting applications until April 1, 2019. Please review the program overview and revised guidelines below. We look forward to supporting your chapter’s designation promotion efforts this year!
What is the Designation Promotion Grant Program?
For the past few years, the Institute has earmarked funds to support local CCIM chapter projects that raise awareness about the CCIM designation and designees on Main Street, Wall Street, or wherever your potential clients do business.
New guidelines for the 2019 program
- Projects must promote to new audiences*
- Applications will be evaluated partly on a chapter’s need for funding support
Other guidelines and criteria
Applications will be accepted from April 1 – August 1, 2019, unless all funds are allocated sooner. The workgroup — made up of CCIM volunteers — will review fully completed applications and submit all recommended applications to the Marketing Committee for final approval. We expect a response within 45 days of receiving an application, pending the committee's approval. The current maximum funding amount per chapter is $2,500.
To qualify for funding, your project must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Promotes the CCIM pin/designation as the global standard for professional achievement to new audiences
- Promotes CCIM designees as the local market experts to new audiences
*New audiences include any group or company in your market that seems to be largely unaware of the CCIM designation and CCIMs but could see an outsized benefit from hiring or collaborating with a CCIM.
We encourage you to consider unusual projects that might be more memorable than a one-time advertising placement. How can you gain your market’s attention? While evaluating project ideas, consider these questions:
- Will the project reach an important audience that’s mostly unfamiliar with the CCIM brand?
- Can the project’s reach be expanded through video or other content marketing?
- Can you look to companies or other organizations in your market for inspiration or additional support?
Applications will be evaluated on a Chapter’s need for funding support. Requests for both matching funds and grants will be considered. A detailed budget for the project is required.
