The Washington State CCIM Chapter is a privately incorporated chapter of the CCIM Institute. The chapter is one of a network of more than 50 chapters across the United States dedicated to improving benefits to CCIM members and increasing their involvement in the CCIM Institute.

The Washington State CCIM Chapter encompasses the State of Washington as well as Northern Idaho and has nearly 200 members from various real estate and real estate-related firms. Our chapter provides its members with the best in networking opportunities, designation promotion, candidacy guidance, and educational opportunities.

Board Member Spotlight

Meet Fred McConkey, CCIM, President and Owner, McConkey Development Company. Fred worked and invested part-time in commercial real estate, while keeping his “day job” in the 1980s.

Prior to forming MDC, Fred worked in the family business, the South Seattle Auction in Kent, Washington and facilitated its sale to GE Capital in 1985. He became Senior Vice President of GE Capital, acquiring, developing and managing Auto Auction from Chicago. He returned to Seattle in 1990 to devote full-time efforts to McConkey Development Company. Fred now owns and manages a portfolio of $50 million of high-quality commercial real estate.

Fred was the Mayor of Hunts Point, Washington for 14 years and was instrumental in designing and gaining governmental cooperation to construct the new SR520 bridge.

Fred has been a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) for 25 years, serving in the past as chapter president; Fred continues to serve as board director.
