2020 Designation Promotion Grant Program
During this unprecedented time, CCIM Institute has fast-tracked resources to help CCIM chapter leaders continue to deliver value to their chapter members. As part of that effort, the institute would like to expand the criteria for the 2020 Designation Promotion Grant Program to support chapter member engagement.
To qualify for funding, your project must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Promotes the CCIM pin/designation as the global standard for professional achievement to new audiences
- Promotes CCIM designees as the local market experts to new audiences
- NEW: Promotes chapter member retention
- NEW: Promotes chapter member acquisition
New audiences include any group or company in your market that seems to be largely unaware of the CCIM designation and CCIMs but could see an outsized benefit from hiring or collaborating with a CCIM.
Retention and acquisition efforts might include virtual events, live events (2H2020), or new resources.
Applications will be evaluated on a chapter’s need for funding support, as well as the potential positive impact of the proposed project. Requests for both matching funds and grants will be considered. A detailed budget for the project is required.
Applications will be accepted May 1, 2020 – Aug. 31, 2020, or unless all funds have been allocated sooner. The workgroup — made up of CCIM volunteers — will review fully completed applications and submit all recommended applications to the Marketing Committee for final approval. We expect a response within 45 days of receiving an application, pending the committee's approval. The current maximum funding amount per chapter is $2,500.
Institute staff will be following up with all chapters about their project/event's results. In the event that the chapter's event cannot take place, the chapter will have the opportunity to reapply for a new project (by Nov. 1, 2020), or the grant funds will returned to the Institute.
